The 23rd installment of the PSE's Annual Convention carries the theme "The heART of Echo: Adopting a Rational Approach to Non-invasive Cardiac Imaging." The ethereal vibe suggests the idea of something new or uncharted in the field of echo. The constellation of stars very subtly portrays a heart-like figure, while the interconnecting lines imply the ongoing networking or synergy among ASEAN nations in the practice of echo. At the heart of it all is the PSE, bringing physicians, sonographers and echo enthusiasts together for a common goal--quality echo for the Filipino and for the world.
SCIENTIFIC PROGRAM
The convention kicks off with state-of-the art pre-congress sessions on strain imaging and 3-dimensional echo on September 10. The highly-packed scientific program from September 11-12 will highlight the following:
Plenary sessions from Dr. James Thomas of the American Society of Echocardiography and Dr. Kian Keong Poh of the ASEAN Society of Echocardiography, 2)
Multidisciplinary discussions on multivalvular heart disease, congenital surgery and transcatheter therapies with imaging experts and cardiac surgeons
